Helpston Parish Council
Parish Councils are the first tier of local government and hence are the closest to the community they serve.
In Helpston, the Parish Council plays an important role in maintaining and improving local services
and facilities, supporting voluntary organisations and influencing and lobbying on any local development plans.
The Parish Council’s costs and activities are financed by a charge known as a precept which is added to each householder’s Council Tax Bill.
Parish councillors are elected, unpaid volunteers who must abide by a local government code of conduct and declare their financial interests within the parish.
If you wish to find out more please speak to one of the Councillors at the next Parish Council meeting. Council usually meets on the first Monday each month at 7.30pm
